ABOUT

Extend your 3D Maker Capability with Snapmaker UK

Snapmaker is great value for a robust 3D Printer that has 2 other great capabilities straight out of the one box. The killer feature is that three interchangeable modules can be swapped onto the Snapmaker’s X-axis. In addition to 3D printing, it’s also capable of laser engraving and CNC milling. Simple to assemble it has a hand held LCD touchscreen with a fast and responsive UI for your making operations. The free proprietary Snapmaker3D software is capable of working with drawings and images to produce models, parts and prototypes. Performing a brilliant job across three distinct capabilities, Snapmaker is a maker’s dream tool for small-scale work and learning. Snapmaker is an affordable solution for makers that just want to get stuff done.

Snapmakers’ fused deposition modelling (FDM) 3D printer module accepts a standard 1.75mm filament spool. The bed can be heated up to 80 degrees Celsius. It provides a build volume of a 125mm x 125mm x 125mm cube. Resulting details are fine and immaculate. The slicing of 3D models is powered by Cura within the Snapmaker software.

The Laser engraving module focusses to a point on the material — this is a easy process that uses both the machine’s Z-height and a focusing ring to accommodate a wide range of materials and thicknesses. There are four engraving options black & white, greyscale, vector and text. The simple text generation option lets you start making quick engravings directly inside the software itself. It just works.

For CNC carving the provided milling and carving bits will gnash and chew their way through wood, acrylic and carbon fibre. There are mill bits and a sample pack of materials included with the Snapmaker to get you started.

It’s a productivity tool, geared toward multifunctional making. Be imaginative, be disruptive. You can develop programmes in G-Code to produce truly original and innovative works. This exciting, versatile and competent little machine is a productivity tool, geared toward fast multifunctional making. It goes from boxed to working with speed and little effort.
