You definitely need the updated Snapmaker Enclosure V1.1 for an original Snapmaker 3-in-1. The enclosure comes with thickened corner brackets on the frame. It has a switch on the door. These give you a much better user experience.

use the Snapmaker enclosure when 3D printing with ABS, CNC carving, laser cutting or engraving. You should also think about using the enclosure to protect young ones or pets from the machine.

  • Laser engraving will stop when any door is opened. Engraving will resume again when the doors are closed. The door switch is connected to the spare port on the controller. Opening or closing the doors does not affect printer operations. This feature will only work in USB Disk Mode.

NB: The Snapmaker Enclosure product is designed for the Original Snapmaker.

It is  not compatible with both the Snapmaker 2.0 and use of the Z-Axis extension. None of these modules will fit in this enclosure.
